KYOTO Design Lab東京ギャラリーでは、7月2日（土）から8月7日（日）まで、「点群庭園 音と映像の3Dレコーディング」展を開催いたします。
2015年、京都工芸繊維大学KYOTO Design Lab（D-lab）は、スイス連邦工科大学チューリッヒ校（ETHZ）のクリストフ・ジロー教授が主宰するランドスケープ研究室 http://girot.arch.ethz.ch http://lvml.ethz.ch と共同し、京都の3つの庭園の3Dスキャンとサウンドレコーディングを実施し、独自の方法で収録したデータを再構築した作品を制作しました。この展覧会で展示する作品は、そのアーカイブをETHZが映像作品として再編集したもので、寺院、町家、そして現代建築という異なるタイプ、異なる時代の庭園を軸に、庭園と建築、さらに都市空間との関わりにおける新しい空間体験の試みを紹介するものです。
会場構成はD-labに関わる京都工芸繊維大学の大学院生が中心となり、ETHZとの協力でつくり上げました。私たちの共同研究は2016年度も続いています。今後の研究成果にも、どうぞご期待ください。

In 2015, KYOTO Design Lab (D-Lab), at the Kyoto Institute of Technology used 3D scanning and sound recording at three Japanese gardens in Kyoto. This collaboration with Institute of Landscape Architecture at ETH Zürich led by Professor Christophe Girot used their original methodology, to produce audio-visual re-compositions of the gardens. This exhibition introduces you to this experiment in the creation of new spatial experiences. The context is that of the relationship between gardens, architecture and urban spaces. It involves different genres of buildings of different eras from temples to townhouses to modern architecture.
The exhibition has been organized by KIT’s postgraduate students in collaboration with ETH Zürich. We hope that you will enjoy the exhibition and look forward to future results from this ongoing project.
