The April 2018 issue of AXIS magazine (vol.192) showcases “Design for Flies” – Frank Kolkman’s multiple award-winning D-Lab Design Associate 2015 project which was directed by Professor Julia Cassim. It is described in the Creator’s Navi article on page 107. The article also includes the “Open Surgery” project, which was the result of Frank’s participation in the 2015 D-Lab/RCA collaborative workshop centred on Robots and Healthcare led by Professor Anthony Dunne from Design Interactions, RCA. As an RCA student, Frank developed the idea as his graduation work.
