2025年2月26日、スシ・スズキ准教授がKYOTO Design Labで主導した研究プロジェクトを背景に生まれたスタートアップ「Galari」が製品を発表しました。
　
Galariは、電子ペーパー技術を活用したアートフレームで、本物の絵画のように映像を表示し、時間とともに変化する新しい芸術体験を提供する製品です。ソーシャルメディアやインターネットの騒々しく、ともすれば圧倒されがちな性質に対するアンチテーゼとして、心を落ち着かせる製品を作ることを目指して制作されました。
　
従来のデジタルスクリーンとは異なり、発光しない自然な表示で、目に優しく快適な鑑賞体験を提供します。Wi-Fi接続により、5,000点以上の厳選されたアート作品や個人の写真を表示でき、天気やカレンダーなどのリアルタイム情報も確認できます。またビーチ、マホガニー、ウォールナットの3種類から選べる100%天然木フレームのデザインは、どんな空間にも馴染み、テクノロジーとアートを融合した日常を豊かにするアイテムとなっています。

On February 26, 2025, Galari, a startup born from a research project led by Associate Professor Susi Suzuki at KYOTO Design Lab, launched its product.

Galari is a modern e-paper art frame to display images like real paintings, providing a new artistic experience that changes over time. It aimed to create a product that is calming, and antithesis to the loud and often overwhelming nature of social media and the internet.

Unlike traditional digital screens, its non-light-emitting display offers a natural, distraction-free viewing experience. With Wi-Fi connectivity, Galari provides a curated collection of over 5,000 artworks, personal uploads, and real-time updates like weather and calendars. Available in Beech, Mahogany, and Walnut, its 100% solid wood frame adds elegance to any setting. Galari seamlessly blends technology and art to enhance your everyday life.
