SUGAR Cloud EXPO
本学を含む世界中の学生が参加し発表したSUGAR Cloud EXPOは、6月5日、盛況のうちに終了しました。以下は、本学の学生が参加した2019–2020年のふたつのプロジェクトの発表です。

ME310/SUGARとは
ME310/SUGARは、世界各地の大学生が、デザイン思考の方法論を用いてグローバル企業が提起するイノベーション課題に挑戦するプログラムです。約9か月のあいだ、学生チームは企業から提供されるさまざまな課題に対するリサーチからスタートし、機能的なプロトタイプを用いて洗練されたコンセプトを開発していきます。ME310/SUGARで生まれたコンセプトの多くは、パートナー企業の実際の製品やサービスになっています。
スタンフォード大学ではじまったこのプログラムは世界中に広がり、現在では5大陸20校を超える大学で実施され、世界の参加学生数はこの10年で約5倍に増えました。日本からは、京都工芸繊維大学のみこのネットワークに参加しています。

The SUGAR Cloud EXPO happened successfully on June 5th where ME310/SUGAR students from the Kyoto Institute of Technology presented alongside students from around the world. Below are the two presentations of projects where Kyoto Institute of Technology students were involved for the 2019-2020 project year:

What is ME310/SUGAR?
ME310/SUGAR is a program where students from universities around the world take on innovation challenges posed by global companies using design thinking methodologies. In nine months, student teams start from a broadly defined brief and develop a refined concept with a functional prototype. Many of the concepts from ME310/SUGAR have become real products and features for the partnering companies.
The program originated at Stanford University and has spread around the world to over twenty universities on five continents. The number of students worldwide has increased fivefold over the last ten years, but KIT is the only Japanese university in the network.
