京都工芸繊維大学 美術工芸資料館にて、展覧会「岸和郎：時間の真実 Waro KISHI_TIME WILL TELL」が開催
本展は、建築家として、そして教育者として国内外で活躍し、本学でも長らく教鞭を執られている岸和郎先生［建築家／K.ASSOCIATES/Architects主宰／京都工芸繊維大学名誉教授］の40年間にわたる業績と、その歩みを捉えた展覧会です。
初期の代表作「日本橋の家」(1992)を中心に手描き図面の時代をまとめたものから、1980年代から2010年代に手がけてきた仕事の総覧、本学学生と共に手がけた国内外のコンペや、「KIT HOUSE」(2010)をはじめ教鞭をとった大学で設計した建築、さらに近年の仕事として手がけた住宅家具などが紹介されています。

また本展のポスターデザインは、ウォン・カーウァイ監督作品『恋する惑星』(1994)を手がけた香港のアーティスト、スタンリー・ウォン氏によるものなのも話題です。

The exhibition “Waro KISHI: TIME WILL TELL” is now being held at the Kyoto Institute of Technology Museum & Archives.
This exhibition captures the 40-year history of Waro Kishi [architect / president of K.ASSOCIATES/Architects / professor emeritus of Kyoto Institute of Technology], who has been active both in Japan and abroad as an architect and educator.
The exhibition includes a collection of works from his early days of hand-drawn drawings, mainly his masterpiece “House in Nipponbashi” (1992), a comprehensive overview of his work from the 1980s to the 2010s, competitions in Japan and abroad that he worked on with KIT students, architecture designed for “KIT HOUSE” (2010) and other universities where his taught, and recent residential furniture.

It is also worth mentioning that the poster design for this exhibition is by Hong Kong artist Stanley Wong, who designed Wong Kar-wai’s “Chungking Express” (1994).
