KYOTO Design Lab is pleased to host a public lecture by French contemporary artist Violaine Vieillefond, titled “A Dialogue between East and West: Water as a Pictorial Pattern.”

Focusing on her paintings and installation works—particularly the motif of “water”—she will discuss her artistic practice that transcends the boundaries between East and West, examining aspects such as surface, volume, medium, and support.

This lecture is held as part of the “Professional Lecture Series in Design A/C” and “Special Lecture-Ⅰ”.
While it is primarily intended for students of Kyoto Institute of Technology, attendees from outside the university are also welcome.
