世界的なデザインミュージアムとして知られる、ヴィトラ・デザイン・ミュージアムのフラードームで開催されている展示「Food Shaping Kyoto（京都を形作る食）」がはじまっています。
本展示は、KYOTO Design Labが京の台所・錦市場の協力を得て2015年から続けてきたプロジェクト「都市を形成する食（Food Shaping Kyoto）」をもとに、企画・デザインされています。ワークショップリーダーに迎えた、スイスを拠点に活躍する建築家マニュエル・ヘルツおよびシャディ・ラーバランと共同でおこなったリサーチの成果に基づいて構成しました。
2019年6月7日から17日にわたる展示に先がけて、6月9日におこなわれたオープニングイベントでは、錦市場の職人による「だし巻き卵」の実演などがおこなわれ、400点を超える資料と映像インスタレーションによる多彩な展示とともに、現地のマスコミや展示関係者など多くの来場者を魅了しました。
引き続き、ヴィトラ・デザイン・ミュージアムで展示がおこなわれます。みなさまのご来場を心よりお待ちしております。
オープニングイベントの様子
The exhibition “Food Shaping Kyoto (京都を形作る食)” which is being held in the Fuller dome of the Vitra Design Museum, which is known as a worldwide design museum, has started.
This exhibition is planned and designed based on the project “Food Shaping City” which KYOTO Design Lab has been carrying out since 2015 with the cooperation of Nishiki Market as known as Kyoto’s kitchen. The workshop was co-organized by Swiss architects Manuel Herz and Shadi Rahbaran.
Ahead of the exhibition that ran from June 7 to 17 2019, the opening event held on June 9 featured a demonstration of “Dashi Japanese Omelette” by traditional Japanese food chef from Nishiki Market. The event attracted many visitors, including the local media and people involved in the exhibition, as well as a variety of exhibits featuring over 400 materials and video installations.
The exhibition will continue at the Vitra Design Museum. We look forward to your visit.
