KYOTO Design Labは、2015年からクリストフ・ジロー教授率いるスイス連邦工科大学チューリッヒ校（ETH Zürich）のランドスケープ研究室との共同研究として、日本庭園の風景と音の三次元計測をおこなうプロジェクトを実施してきました。
今回、D-labの木下昌大助教がETH Zürichに客員研究員として滞在中に取材を受け、LEXUSが運営するオウンドメディア「VISIONARY」にて、本プロジェクトが紹介されました。
「VISIONARY」は、LEXUSによる「未来像を見極め、知の拡張と知的好奇心の充足を目的とした」先見的メディアです。LEXUSのキュレーションにもとづいて、さまざまな分野における価値の高い情報を提供しています。

また、本プロジェクトは現在も進行中で、2017年は10月下旬から11月にかけてETH Zürichのランドスケープ研究室一行が来日し、D-labと協働して京都の庭園の3Dスキャンをおこないます。今後の情報にご注目ください。

KYOTO Design Lab has been conducting a joint research project with Institute of Landscape Architecture led by Professor Christophe Girot of ETH Zurich, which collects and analyzes digital data on a wide array of Japanese garden’s landscapes since 2015.

Our joint research will continue into 2017. Institute of Landscape Architecture led by Professor Christophe Girot of ETH Zurich will stay in Kyoto from October to November and conduct a 3D scanning survey of the Japanese garden with D-lab. Please stay tuned for further information.
