KYOTO Design Lab Library 1 『描かれた都市と建築』が、株式会社昭和堂より発刊されました。

KYOTO Design Lab Libraryは、D-labの活動をベースに、領域を越えたさまざまな試みを発信し、あたらしいデザインの手がかりを提供するための出版プロジェクトです。

記念すべき第1巻となった『描かれた都市と建築』は、コロンビア大学のマシュー・マッケルウェイ教授、フランチェスコ・ベネルリ准教授を招聘し2015年7月に開催された同名のD-lab主催シンポジウムに端を発し、本学の並木誠士教授が10編の論文をまとめるかたちで編集されました。
論文の執筆者は、清水重敦教授、岩本馨准教授、矢ヶ崎善太郎准教授、石田潤一郎教授、並木誠士教授、西田雅嗣教授、赤松加寿江講師、三宅拓也助教、三木順子准教授、平芳幸浩准教授（執筆順）です。

以下、並木教授による紹介コメントです。

    本書は、絵画・絵図・図面・ポスターなどさまざまな媒体にあらわされた古今東西、現実・非現実の都市や建築の様相を、KYOTO Design Labに所属する10人の教員がそれぞれ独自の視点から論じています。デザイン・建築・美術を専門とする教員が場を共有する本学ならではの成果です。都市と建築は、人びとの歴史とともに形成され、変化し、発展してゆくものです。それが二次元の媒体に表象されたとき何が見えてくるか。本書を通して感じ取っていただければ幸いです。
