マールース・テン・ボーマーの2018年度D-labデザイナー・イン・レジデンスでの作品がアテネ・ファッションフィルム・フェスティバル2020のBest Fashion Shortを受賞しました

マールース・テン・ボーマーは、2018年度D-labデザイナー・イン・レジデンスとして京都に滞在し、日本の伝統的な履物と日本の潜在的な文化から派生する動きの分類の比較、日本の「動く女性」の社会的、文化的形成におけるデザインとメディアの役割の検討をとおして、複数の作品を制作しました。

その一環として、日本映画での女性の歩き方をトレースし、モーション分析技術を用いて制作した短編映像「The Path She Walks」が、アテネ・ファッションフィルム・フェスティバル2020（Athens Fashion Film Festival, Athens FFF）のBest Fashon Shortを受賞しました。

「The Path She Walks」はこのほか、コペンハーゲン・ファッションフィルム・フェスティバル［CFF］ベストアイデア賞、BIDEODROMO国際実験映画祭2019（ビルバオ、スペイン）特別賞を受賞したほか、など複数の映画祭で招待上映されています。

Marloes ten Bhömer was KYOTO Design Lab’s Designer in Residence in 2018. As part of her residency, she created The Path She Walks, a short film employing motion analysis technology, to examine the nature of female gait in the context of cinema. It won the Best Idea award at the Copenhagen Fashion Film Festival in 2019 and a Special Mention at BIDEODROMO International Experimental Film and Video Festival Bilbao 2019. On February 16 it topped the prize list by winning the Best Fashion Short at the Athens Fashion Film Festival 2020.
