持続可能な未来のデザインを実践的に学ぶサマースクール「School of Fashion Futures」におけるバイオレザー & Houdini 演習で、受講者が制作した作品をFabCafe Kyotoにて展示します。
KYOTO Design Lab［D-lab］では、2021年8月18日–8月27日にかけて、ファッションを軸にバイオマテリアル / アルゴリズミックデザイン / サーキュラーデザインを実践的に学ぶサマースクール「School of Fashion Futures」を開催しました。
これは「キノコや微生物由来のバイオレザーの作り方」「サーキュラーエコノミーにおけるデザイン」「Houdiniを用いた身体形状に最適化を図るアルゴリズミック・デザイン」の3点を中心にした少人数制のオフラインワークショップと、国内外で活躍するゲスト講師を迎えたオンラインレクチャーの二段構えで行われた、日本初となる意欲的な試みとなりました。（Houdiniはカナダのサイドエフェクト社が開発する3DCGソフトウェア）

Summer school teaching design of a sustainable future「School of Fashion Futures」will display student works made during bio leather & Houdini exercises at FabCafe Kyoto.
KYOTO Design Lab [D-lab] organized a summer school called “School of Fashion Futures” 2021/08/18–08/27 where participants were offered hands-on learning opportunities on biomaterials, algorithmic design and circular design centered on fashion.
The program is a small offline workshop focusing on three points: “How to make bio-leather derived from mushrooms and microbes,” “Design in the circular economy,” and “Using Houdini software to reform body shape through algorithmic design”. The organizers were prepared for online lectures while inviting both domestic and foreign guest lecturers making this program a pioneer and an aspiring attempt in Japan (Houdini is a 3DCG software application developed by Canadian Side Effect company)
