日本とスイスの文化交流プラットフォーム日瑞建築文化協会（JSAA）による展覧会 E2A ピート・エッカート＆ヴィム・エッカート『Methodologies – スイス建築の方法論』が、2022年6月24日[金] – 7月9日[土]まで美術工芸資料館にて開催されます。

E2Aは、実の兄弟であるピート・エッカートとヴィム・エッカートによって2001年に設立された、スイス、チューリヒを拠点とする建築設計事務所です。彼らの仕事はヨーロッパ全域に及び、その内容も公共建築や文化的活動、企業との共同や商業活動、さらに住宅設計と多岐にわたります。初期の主要プロジェクトとしては、キルヒベルクのブロエルベルク住宅地（2003年）やマイレンのテラスハウス（2005年）など、チューリヒ周辺の住宅作品が挙げられます。近年の建築物としてはベルリンのtaz Neubau（ターゲスツァイトゥング新聞社）編集本部が挙げられます。

「Methodologies – スイス建築の方法論」と題された本展は、E2Aの本質を探究する建築模型、イメージ、そして実施図面などを通して、その設計思想を紹介。スイス建築界で注目を集める彼らの最新動向をうかがう展覧会となっています。
ピート・エッカートは1994年、ヴィム・エッカートは1995年にスイス連邦工科大学チューリヒ校を卒業後、1994年から97年にかけてロッテルダム、ロサンゼルス、ソウルにおいてオランダの建築設計事務所OMAと協働。兄弟はこれまで、ハンブルグ・ハーフェンシティ大学（HCU）、アカデミア・ディ・アーキテトゥーラ、メンドリーシオのスイス・イタリア大学（USI）、ドイツのドルトムント工科大学などの複数の学校や大学において教鞭をとっています。

E2A is an architectural practice based in Zurich, Switzerland. It was established in 2001 by brothers Piet Eckert and Wim Eckert. Their work has expanded geographically and typologically to a broader range in Europe with public, cultural, corporate, commercial, and housing projects. Early key projects were a series of houses around Zurich, including the Broëlberg Housing Estate in Kilchberg (2003), and the Terrace Housing in Meilen (2005). Recent buildings include the editorial headquarters of taz Neubau (the publishing house for the German newspaper taz tageszeitung) in Berlin.

The exhibition presents both projects under development and recently completed projects. Each project is represented by a model, an image, and an execution plan investigating the core of E2A’s architecture.
Piet Eckert and Wim Eckert graduated from the ETH inZurich in 1994 and 1995 respectively. Both worked from1994 to 1997 with OMA in Rotterdam, Los Angeles, andSeoul. Piet Eckert and Wim Eckert have taught at severalschools and universities in Europe including HafenCityUniversity Hamburg (HCU), Accademia di architettura,Università della Svizzera Italiana (USI) in Mendrisio, andthe Technical University of Dortmund in Germany.
