Bio
Dr.-Ing. Rongbo Hu is a multicultural, interdisciplinary designer, engineer, and researcher in the fields of construction robotics and smart home for aging society. He is currently Visiting Professor via JSPS Fellowship at Keio University, Japan. He is also Senior Consultant at CREDO Robotics GmbH in Munich, Germany.
Dr. Hu holds Doctor of Engineering from Technical University of Munich, Master of Architecture from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Bachelor of Architecture from Wuhan University. He previously worked as Postdoctoral Researcher and Lecturer at Technical University of Munich, Germany, Project Designer for Ko Architects in Palo Alto, CA, USA, and Design Assistant for artist Ai Weiwei in Beijing, China. He won ISARC Best Paper Award twice in 2019 and 2020. He is currently Guest Editor of Smart Cities (IF 6 .4 ) and Topic Coordinator of Frontiers in Built Environment (IF 3.0 )
