ニューヨーク・スクール・オブ・インテリアデザイン（New York School of Interior Design、以下 NYSID）と共同で、「屋台のデザイン」をテーマとしたワークショップを開催します。
物販カートは、世界中の街角に存在しています。ニューヨークであれば、朝のコーヒーとドーナツに始まり、ホットドッグ、本格的なフードトラック、帽子やTシャツのみやげ物、スマートフォンのアクセサリーなど、路上で売られるものにきりはありません。
では、京都ではどうでしょうか。何を売り、どんな形の屋台がデザインできるでしょう。このワークショップでは、「屋台のデザイン」をテーマに、NYSIDの学生と混成チームを組み、一日かけてそのアイデアを考えます。

In collaboration with the New York School of Interior Design (NYSID), KYOTO Design Lab will host a one-day workshop on the theme of “Designing a Vendor Cart”.
Vendor carts can be found on street corners all over the world. In New York, they range from morning coffee and donuts to hot dogs, full-scale food trucks, souvenir hats and T-shirts, and smartphone accessories — the variety of things sold on the street is endless.
But what about Kyoto? What could be sold here, and what kinds of carts might be designed?
In this workshop, participants will form mixed teams with NYSID students and spend the day developing ideas around the theme of vendor cart design.
