トリノ工科大学との合同スタジオの一環として、日本とイタリアの文化的景観ワークショップを実施します。
2014年に世界遺産登録された「ピエモンテの葡萄畑の景観：ランゲ・ロエロ・モンフェッラート」と、現在世界遺産登録をめざす「宇治茶の文化的景観」は、ともに魅力的かつ多くの課題を有しています。
本合同スタジオは、宇治市湯船地区（2019年3月）とイタリア・ピエモンテ（2019年9月）に滞在し、生産者や地域の課題に対してどのような解決を見いだすことができるのか、建築設計、都市史・領域史、デザインの各分野から取り組んでもらいます。
成果物として、リサーチやデザインをとりまとめた書籍の発行を予定しています。

The seminar “Drinkscape. The cultural landscape of Wine in Piemonte and Tea in Uji” aims at starting the collaboration on research and education between the Politecnico di Torino and the Kyoto Institute of Technology in the fields of architecture, territory, urban design and design.
Activities will begin with a first day of exchange and debate among researchers and professors of the two universities. These contributions will show each institution’s competences and knowledge developed in the field of cultural landscapes in Italy and Japan.
During the second day a site visit will be organized in the area of the “I paesaggi vitivinicoli del Piemonte: Langhe-Roero e Monferrato” (Vineyard landscape in Piedmont: Langhe-Roero and Monferrato areas”). This area has been recognized as Unesco’s World Heritage in 2014, and this visit has the main goal of preparing the Polito/KIT Joint Workshop to be held here in September 2019.
The third day is dedicated to a meeting among the members of the research team that are directly involved in the “Drinkscape” Joint Workshops: the first to be held in Japan in March 2019, the second to be held in Italy in September 2019.
